The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Wednesday resumed processing clearances in Mega Manila after President Duterte put Metro Manila and four nearby provinces back to general community quarantine (GCQ) for two weeks.
“In view of the declaration by the President reverting the National Capital Region (NCR) and the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Rizal and Bulacan to General Community Quarantine, we would like to advise our dear clients that the clearance operation in these areas will resume on August 19, 2020,” read the NBI’s announcement.
NBI clearance is a certificate issued by the NBI to a person which shows the person has no derogatory or pending criminal record.
The bureau earlier suspended the processing of clearances in Mega Manila after President Duterte placed it under MECQ from Aug. 4 to 18 in response to the appeal made by the medical community for a timeout due to increasing number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases. (Jeffrey Damicog)
