Five PBA teams yesterday wrapped up a series of swab testing procedures required before being allowed to hold practices under strict health protocols next week.
Alaska, NLEX, Blackwater, NorthPort and Rain or Shine took part in separate testings that began 1 p.m. at the Makati Medical Center.
They were the last batch of teams to undergo tests that started earlier this week.
San Miguel Beer, Barangay Ginebra and Magnolia were the first teams to be swabbed under the facilities of San Miguel Corporation.
TNT KaTropa, Meralco, Columbian and Phoenix Super LPG had theirs Thursday at Makati Med.
PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial said players, coaches and staff who tested negative for COVID-19 could start training at their team’s facilities as early as Tuesday.
Teams have been preparing for the planned resumption of practices, with TNT even planning to hold a bubble at Splendido in Tagaytay City.
Protocols and proper disinfection using hospital standards will be strictly observed once teams begin training.
