The Choco Mucho Flying Titans have firmed up their lineup even during the pandemic by acquiring the services of Ateneo standouts Ponggay Gaston and Jamie Lavitoria.
The team announced their additions in their social media account as they made clear about their title desire once the Premier Volleyball League gets the green light to resume practice and eventually stage their tournament.
“Welcome to the Choco Mucho Flying Titans family! We’re excited to see you play on the volleyball court,” the team posted along with a picture of Lavitoria.
“A new titan is about to dominate the volleyball court!” said the post accompanied by Gaston’s picture.
Lavitoria was supposed to play her final year with Ateneo early this year in the UAAP until Season 82 was cancelled due to the pandemic.
Gaston, for her part, is an outside hitter.
Last June, the team also acquired former Ateneo standout Deanna Wong and University of Santo Tomas’ Caitlyn Viray. In May, they recruited Denden Lazaro.
PVL has yet to commence at least one of its scheduled three-conference season as it awaits approval from the Inter-Agency Task Force.
Once approved, organizer Sports Vision President Ricky Palou said they plan to hold the Open Conference this year.
