COOKING AND VLOGGING: With one network closed down and the other slowing down on production schedule, our actors are finding ways and means to keep themselves busy, or at least, visible.
If they’re not cooking and selling food online, they’re vlogging. Both can be money-making ventures in the age of pandemic.
Vlogging takes actors one step higher than being just a talent for a TV network. It allows them their own personal space in cyber world, their own channel, so to speak.

MONETIZING: The beauty of vlogging, says wonderful vlogger Ogie Diaz, is that it can allow vloggers to make money. I hear some of them even get paid in dollars.
The process of earning from your vlog is called monetization. One achieves it when he has reached a certain number of views or followers, say, 500,000 or more.
Many actors have turned to vlogging to while away their time. It is also one best way to keep in touch with their audience, so they’re not forgotten.

GMA VLOGGERS: I saw a recent amusing post from actor Edgar Allan Guzman’s post where he and girlfriend Shaira Diaz recalled how they met and fell in love.
EA said he appeared as guest on a reality show where Shaira was a contestant. During rehearsal for a dance number, Shaira was turned off by the hair in his armpit. EA wore a sando shirt at the time.
EA and Shaira have been together the past seven years. Both are with GMA-7 now.

LAHAT SILA: Every other actor runs his own vlog.
We can’t mention all their names, but trust me, all the big stars are out there, holding court, hosting their own channels.
It’s as if the stars’ vlogs are their own teleseryes. It’s where they tell their stories, their life unscripted.
