To augment the blended distance learning capability of the city amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the local government unit of Manilla opened on Monday its E-Skwela Hub in Barangay 585.
Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna graced the opening of the hub and checked its facilities that will be beneficial to students, teachers, and parents during the pandemic.
Computers, printers and Internet connection will be made available at the e-learning hub for students, teachers and parents for education and research, the mayor said.
“We appreciate the benefits that this educational hub will bring to students, teachers and parents, especially those who have been severely affected by the pandemic, in helping them cope with the new normal of learning and conducting our classes, so that no one will be left behind,” said Domagoso.
“They can use computers, access the Internet, print materials, conduct research and prepare for the upcoming classes with these hubs,” he added.
The mayor described the project, which was in partnership with the private sector, as “tangible” for the people. (Jel Santos)
