When the pandemic is over, hopefully sooner than later, these are movies I want to watch. Perhaps, GMA can revive its movie arm and produce the movies on my mind.
GMA used to produce find films. The likes of Marilou Diaz-Abaya’s “Jose Rizal” and “Muro Ami” (Cesar Montano), “Sa Pusod ng Dagat” (Elizabeth Oropesa, Jomari Yllana). Joel Lamangan’s “Deathrow” (Eddie Garcia, Cogie Domingo), Mac Alejandre’s “Let the Love Begin” (Richard Gutierrez, Angel Locsin).
The other movies on my mind.
A trilogy topbilled by GMA’s premier loveteams. Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes. Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo. Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez. Drama, comedy, thriller.
Rocco Nacino as a striptease artist. He has the body and the “derring do.” In the Bench underwear fashion show, he strutted in next to nothing g-string or thong. GMA can cast Jake Cuenca, Wendell Ramos, Yul Servo, Alfred Vargas. all “walang takot maghubad.”
And Mark Bautista, too. After all, he practically showed everything in a play about male strippers.
For leading lady, why not Lovi Poe, Rocco’s ex.
A rom-com starring Barbie Forteza and Jak Roberto, Rita Daniela and Ken Chan, Sanya
Lopez and Derrick Monasterio. Plus the young stars of GMA Artist Center.
Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza in a film to be shot abroad, preferably Europe. They were such a hit in “Imagine You and Me,” filmed in Verona, Italy. Superbly directed by Mike Tuviera.
Of course, the Alden-Maine starrer will be done in coordination with TAPE. They are contract artists of TAPE.
