Presidential spokesman Harry Roque is under self-quarantine again after one of his security details tested positive for COVID-19.
In his Monday presser, Roque said in passing that he was holding his press briefing from his house because he was in isolation.
When asked in the latter part of his press briefing, Roque said it was because he was a close contact of a COVID-19 patient.
“Well, nag-positive po ang aking isang security detail,” he revealed.
“Wala naman po akong sintomas pero we’re following protocol po,” he added.
Roque said that since he is in isolation, he has to join President Duterte’s meeting with members of the Inter-agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases on Monday night virtually.
Roque and other Cabinet members went under self-quarantine after Interior Secretary Eduardo Año revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time.
“Alam niyo naman po na si Secretary Año ay nag-positive at minabuti na po naming mag-self quarantine ngayon,” Roque said on August 17.
“Ako kasi bilang tagapagsalita, I need to serve by way of example,” he added.
Roque underwent a swab test on August 22. He revealed a few days later that his results came out negative. (Argyll Cyrus B. Geducos)
