Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez ordered Wednesday the closure of a restaurant bar in BF Homes Subdivision for serving alcoholic beverages to their customers which was a clear violation of the general community quarantine (GCQ) protocols.
Inspectors from the city’s Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) raided TAV Resto Bar on Aguirre Avenue in BF Homes Subdivision on Tuesday after receiving several tips from concerned residents that the establishment violated several local ordinances and health protocols.
Olivarez said that there about 15 to 20 customers drinking beers when BPLO personnel raided the resto-bar at around 8 p.m.
Customers at the said resto-bar, however, were immediately released by inspectors and did not file any case against them.
“Consumption of liquor and other alcoholic and intoxicating drinks outside of one’s residence is strictly not allowed in Paranaque during GCQ,” Olivarez said. (Jean Fernando)
