CAMP OLA, Albay – A public school teacher was arrested by anti-narcotics police in a buy-bust operation Tuesday night in Nabua, Camarines Sur.
The suspect was identified as Tirzo Rolando Duran, 50, a public school teacher and a resident of Brgy. Sto. Domingo, Nabua town, police said.
Citing a report from Nabua Municipal Police Station (MPS), Regional Office 5 (PRO-5) spokesperson Major Malu Calubaquib said that a poseur-buyer succeeded in buying shabu worth P76,000.
After the suspect was captured, police also recovered several other transparent plastic bags containing suspected shabu worth more than P1 million.
Other paraphernalia and personal belongings were also recovered from the suspect.
Calubaquib said that the suspect is considered as one the province’s high-value targets.
The suspect is now under the custody of Nabua MPS for proper disposition. (Nino Luces)
