Ride-hailing firm Grab Philippines has resumed Tuesday the 24-hour operation of its transport services in Metro Manila and other areas.
In a statement, Grab said that its GrabCar and GrabTaxi services will operate 24/7 in Metro Manila, Pampanga, nd Cebu.
Meanwhile, only GrabTaxi would accept bookings around the clock in Baguio, Naga, Bacolod, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao.
According to Grab, the move to resume the 24-hour transport services was made in a bid to “help our communities who are performing essential services during late hours.”
Grab added that it is also working with corporate partners to provide dedicated three-seater and five-seater shuttle services known as “GrabRent” that will also operate 24/7.
Grab returned on the roads in August after the government placed Metro Manila and nearby provinces back under general community quarantine which allows all modes of public transport, including transport network vehicle service, to resume operations.
Apart from the transport service, the firm’s GrabFood and GrabExpress services will also remain operational for 24 hours after it resumed operations in Metro Manila last month. (Alexandria San Juan)
