CLARK FREEPORT – The Blackwater player who was reported as the second probable case inside the bubble tested negative on his confirmatory RT-PCR test at the mega quarantine facility in Capas, Tarlac.
The PBA broke the good news on Monday morning, a day after announcing the second “suspect case” inside the bubble.
The Elite cager also tested negative on the antigen test administered at the Athlete’s Village yesterday.
It was another case of “false positive” as the first probable case – a referee – also had a similar experience.
“The PBA bubble remains intact and has not been breached,” the league said in a statement.
“Nevertheless, we urge all participants to be extra cautious and strictly follow the protocols set for them inside the bubble.”
The player will remain under quarantine as a precautionary measure.
With this development, the game between TNT (5-0) and NorthPort (1-4) will likely push through as scheduled at 6:45 p.m. today at the Smart 5G-powered AUF Sports Arena.
The Tropang Giga, who played Blackwater last Thursday, also tested negative on antigen yesterday.
