Aurea S. Erfelo, known more to some as Madam Auring, fortune teller to the stars, has passed away. She was 80.
Her grandson, Daryl Simon Pecson, made the announcement on Facebook, Friday.
“Grabe ang pinag daanan mo during your senior years pero you still worked hard for your family (us) I feel sad and happy,” he wrote.
“Sad kasi I will never see you again, mga wisdom words mo, korni jokes, happy bondings, and pagkurot sa aking pisngi hanggang mamula. Happy ako kasi you have done everything you could to make us feel loved the way you know how, your struggles are over. You fought your battles silently. Magkikita na kayo ni Mama sa kabilang buhay,” he added.
The family is yet to disclose details on the cause of her death.
Another grandson, Mike Gibran, earlier related the fortune teller as having been hospitalized during her birthday last March.
Born March 11, 1940, Madam Auring gained prominence in 1975 predicting Muhammad Ali’s victory over Joe Frazier at the “Thrilla in Manila.”
She also correctly predicted the Miss Universe win of Spain’s Amparo Muñoz a year prior.
Madam Auring would go on to appear in several movies including “Family Tree,” “I Will Survive,” and “Bikini Open.”
