Bro. Eddie Villanueva, the owner of Zoe Broadcasting Network, which was renamed A2Z recently following its block-time deal with ABS-CBN, was quick to correct Charo Santos when she thanked him for welcoming some of the network’s shows on the channel.
The founder of Jesus is the Lord religious group appeared on Santos’ new show, “Dear Charo,” and the two spoke at length about the partnership.
Along the way, the former ABS-CBN president thanked Villanueva, saying, “Gusto ko pong makapagpasalamat nang personal sa inyo na winelcome niyo sa inyong tahanan ang ilan sa mga Kapamilya shows. Thank you very much po, Bro. Eddie, for welcoming the Kapamilya shows on your station.”
Villanueva retorted, “Sa Diyos po tayo magpasalamat, sapagkat lahat po ng iyan ay inakda ng ating Panginoon na nagmamahal sa inyong lahat.”
He then told Santos as with Robert Labayen, creative communications head of ABS-CBN, how thankful he is for their effort to bring “happiness” to Filipinos amid the ongoing pandemic.
“Ako’y natutuwa sa mga tulad niyo, Charo and Robert, na binibigyan niyo ng kasiyahan ang milyon-milyon nating kababayan in the midst of a pandemic,” he said.
“Maraming depressed, maraming naka-lockdown sa kani-kanilang bahay. Iba’t ibang klaseng krisis, pero your profession, I would say, is one of the good professions that is blessing people, giving joy to them. Iyon ang paniniwala ko.”
ABS-CBN’s deal with A2Z came some five months after The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) forced the Kapamilya Network off the air.
