SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – Police raided Wednesday an alleged cybersex den in this city and arrested 19 of its employees, five of them women.
According to Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit chief Police Lt. Colonel Domingo D. Soriano, police operatives raided a business office located at the 3rd floor of Tam Building on Quezon Avenue in Barangay 3, this city, after securing a search warrant against Andrea Amor Perez Torres, et al. for violation of Section 4 (Cybersex) of Republic Act 10175 and Republic Act 8484.
The search warrant was issued by Executive Judge Asuncion Fikingas Mondia of Regional Trial Court Branch 29, City of San Fernando, La Union.
The cops apprehended 19 workers – 14 males and five females – and seized 22 sets of computer system, one server, and other pieces of evidence.
The operation that lasted for four hours was witnessed by barangay officials. (Erwin Beleo, Liezle Basa)
