The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) suspended on Monday the operations of Pasig River Ferry Service (PRFS) after pontoons or docking platforms for boats were damaged during the onslaught of typhoon “Ulysses” last week.
According to the agency, pontoons in Guadalupe, Hulo, Valenzuela, Pinagbuhatan, and San Joaquin stations will be repaired.
“The safety of the public is our primordial concern. This is why we indefinitely suspended the operations of PRFS,” MMDA spokesperson Assistant Secretary Celine Pialago said.
The agency also stopped the operations of PRFS when the typhoon battered Metro Manila. Typhoon Ulysses had ravaged a large portion of Luzon, leaving many areas flooded. (Jel Santos)
