SMART CLARK GIGA CITY – Memories inside the historic PBA Philippine Cup bubble are priceless and that is why Ginebra’s Joe Devance is eager to capture them through the lens of his vlogging camera.
The veteran forward has been regularly uploading vlogs in his Youtube channel which now has over 45,000 subscribers.
“I’m just having fun with it and trying to create memories we could all look back,” said the 38-year-old Devance, a 10-time PBA champion.
“It seems kinda small now but I feel like 10, 15, 20 years from now, we’re gonna be looking at my vlogs, Scottie’s (Thompson) vlogs and others and just kind of reminiscing on these times,” he added.
Devance has been documenting the Kings’ activities in the well-contained zone through his PBA Bubble Life series.
The Fil-American bruiser said he still has vlog ideas in the bag, but stressed that his focus remains on the game as Ginebra seeks to finish off Meralco in the semifinals.
“I don’t want to be a distraction even for myself especially right now if I’m gonna play a lot,” said Devance, who put up 10 points, five rebounds and two assists–his best performance so far in the bubble–in 31 minutes of play in the Kings’ 91-84 win over the Bolts in Game 3 last Sunday.
“I’m just trying to do what I can. It’s for the fans and for us to capture the moments for the future.”

Stress reliever
Meralco forward Jammer Jamito is also doing vlogs to relieve stress and break the monotony inside the bubble.
Through his Fast Talk segment with his Meralco teammates and other PBA players such as James Yap, Kiefer Ravena and RR Pogoy, fans were able to know their idols and break down misconceptions about them.
“Akala nila ‘yung mga PBA players suplado pero hindi naman pala. Nakikilala raw nila mga players outside the court,” said Jamito.
The 30-year-old cager said his Youtube channel Jammer Jamito Explorer’s following grew when he started vlogging in the bubble, from a little over 800 to almost 18,000 subscribers who he fondly calls “Jametorista”.

Donation drive
Phoenix Super LPG has put up a donation drive called Phoenix Relief for the victims of Typhoon Ulysses especially in Marikina and Cagayan.
Coach Topex Robinson bared that the Fuel Masters have decided to donate their won-game bonuses for that cause.
“It’s all about service. And we cannot just talk about service, we have to act on it. That’s part of our act of donating our won game bonuses to the victims of the typhoon,” said Robinson.
Phoenix has already won two games against TNT in the semifinals and just another victory away from a first-ever PBA finals appearance.
