Some six years after making her mark winning as grand champ of “The Voice Kids Philippines” during its first season, Lyca Gairanod is back, aiming to become an even bigger star.
Asked why she made herself scarce for some time, Lyca explained she simply wanted to further her studies.
“Bata pa po kasi ako noon, halos 10 (years old) lang po at nanghihinayang ako kung hindi ko matuloy ang pag-aaral ko,” she said in a recent interview.
Fast forward to 2020, Lyca, now 16, is hoping to launch a career both as singer and actress, signing up with Viva Artists Agency.
And what about her studies?
As her comeback salvo, Lyca will record a song with Bandang Lapis, the group behind the number one viral hit “Kabilang Buhay.”
For now, Lyca is making sure to keep her fans updated via her YouTube channel, which, so far, has already amassed over a million subscribers.
