The oldest city in the world is Jericho in the Middle East. It was even recorded in the Bible as a fine city with a strong wall.
Jericho was first built around 7,800 B.C. It has been destroyed and rebuilt many times.
ATING ALAMIN: Marikina is very much in the news again, for very sad reasons. Flooding caused by typhoon Ulysses has exceeded damage caused by typhoon Ondoy.
Comes now this question: Gaano po kalawak ang Marikina Fault?
The 125-kilometer Marikina Fault runs from Tagaytay Ridge to Montalban, Rizal. It cuts across Canlubang, Laguna, Pasig, Quezon City, and Marikina.
Carbon dating shows that the Marikina Fault caused the 1645 and 1863 quakes that devastated the Manila area.
