Jordan Clarkson scored 20 points as the Utah Jazz defeated the Los Angeles Clippers, 125-105, on the road in their NBA preseason finale Thursday (Friday Manila time).
The Fil-American guard went 7-of-15 from the field including five triples while adding three rebounds in 19 minutes to help the Jazz end the preseason unbeaten.
Clarkson averaged 17.0 points on a .487 shooting percentage with 3.3 rebounds while playing an average of 21.3 minutes during the three games that also saw Utah beat Phoenix twice.
Utah used the preseason to make final preparations for its regular season campaign which starts Wednesday (Thursday Manila time) in Portland to take on the Trail Blazers.
Expectations are high that Clarkson can continue what he did last season as a key contributor for the Jazz since being acquired from the Cleveland Cavaliers in Dec. 2019.
His averages of 15.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 42 games with Utah last season earned Clarkson a four-year contract extension worth $52 million.
