INFANTA, Pangasinan – The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has intensified its search for two fishermen who have been missing after setting out into the sea on Dec. 17.
Reports reaching the Police Regional Office 1 said Infanta police have already coordinated with the PCG to notify all commercial fishing vessels within the area to look out for and give assistance to any rescue operation.
On Sunday, at around 11:45 a.m., Arlene Pesodas, wife of Alberto Pesodas, and Mercedita Lopez, sister of Charito Lopez, 37, both residents of Sitio Sabangan, Barangay Cato, Infanta, Pangasinan, personally appeared before the Infanta police to report that the two fishermen have gone missing.
They narrated that at around 6 p.m. on Dec. 17, the two fishermen went fishing within the area of Pangasinan on board their motorized banca with green body color. They have failed to return since then.
