Creamline and BanKo Perlas are beefing up their lineups for the anticipated return of Premier Volleyball League competitions with the acquisition of talented players from Petro Gazz.
The Creamline Cool Smashers are welcoming middle blocker Jeanette Panaga to their fold, while fellow middle blocker Cherry Nunag is joining the BanKo Perlas Spikers.
“Excited to wear pink jersey,” Panaga wrote on her Twitter account.
The entry of Panaga, who has won Best Middle Blocker four times in the league, further boosted the Cool Smashers’ bid to earn a fourth crown as she joins an already solid lineup spearheaded by Alyssa Valdez, setter Jia Morado and opposite hitter Michele Gumabao.
Panaga will also team up with fellow middle blockers Pau Soriano and Risa Sato.
Like Panaga, Nunag will also join an equally formidable lineup headed by Dzi Gervacio, Jem Ferrer and Nicole Tiamzon.
The 2019 2nd Best Middle Blocker will also join forces with fellow middle blocker Kathy Bersola as the Perlas Spikers seek their first-ever title in the league.
Meanwhile, Petro Gazz acquired University of the East middle blocker and former national under-19 team member Seth Rodriguez as part of its own buildup.
The team made the announcement on its social media accounts, and even urged their fans to “stick around to meet our newest Angels who are ready to take us to further heights.”
