Kai Sotto is working hard to upgrade his basketball skill set while training in the NBA G League.
In an Instagram Story Monday, Sotto attempted to execute a one-handed windmill dunk, which seemed easy with his 7-foot-2 stature.
But the towering Filipino center failed on his first attempt, adding facepalm and laughing emojis on the clip.
For the second time though, the 18-year-old Sotto swiftly jammed the ball into the hoop.
Looks like the dunking skills will be one of the hidden tricks under Sotto’s sleeves when the NBA G League kicks off next month.
In their recent scrimmages, Sotto has been efficient on the defensive while displaying his passing and dribbling skills despite playing the center position.
Joining Sotto in elite prospect team Ignite are Filipino-American Jalen Green, Americans Daishen Nix and Isaiah Todd, Congolese Jonathan Kuminga, and Indian wunderkind Princepal Singh.
Team Ignite is among the 18 teams set to join in the NBA G League bubble at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.
