It seems like it was only yesterday when Janine Teñoso made waves as the big winner in “Born To Be A Star.”
Now she is back, this time as resident judge on the show.
She could only be happy having been given the chance to discover new talents like her through the reality contest.
“Back in 2016, when Viva Entertainment partnered with TV5 for ‘Born To Be A Star’ I never really thought it would lead me to where I am today. I’m so thankful for the show. It was my big break. To be back on it, this time, as a judge, is something that truly excites me,” the OST Princess shared in a recent interview.
Equally happy to be part of the show as judge is Andrew E.
“At this time when disheartening things are happening left and right, making life even more challenging than usual, we could only be thankful that Viva decided to revive the show with Sari Sari and Cignal. Malaking opportunity ito para sa mga nangangarap and I’m happy to be part of it,” he said.
Apart from Janine and Andrew, also sitting as judge on the show are esteemed choreographer Teacher G (Georcelly Sy), singer-actor Sam Concepcion, and Suklay Diva Katrina Velarde.
“Born To Be A Star” will be hosted by “Jowable” breakthrough artist and singer, Kim Molina, and actor-singer-host-endorser Matteo Guidicelli.
Only 18 successful auditionees will move on to boot camp where they will be trained by their Star Mentors: Thyro, Wency Cornejo, and Mark Bautista.
Star Judge Teacher G will also mentor the contestants in the aspect of movement and stage presence.
“While the ultimate goal is to find that one exceptional artist who is fit to be called ‘Born To Be A Star,’ the process of doing so will give each contestant a moment to own that stage, show all that they’ve got, and share their story,” said Teacher G.
The grand champion will be awarded One Million Pesos in cash and a recording and management contract under Viva.
“Born To Be A Star” premieres on Jan. 30, Saturday, 7 pm on TV5.
