Rain or Shine and NorthPort on Monday pulled off the first trade since the conclusion of the PBA bubble.
Sources said Rain or Shine is sending forward Sidney Onwubere and guard Clint Doliguez to NorthPort in exchange for big man Bradwyn Guinto.
The transaction still needs the approval of the PBA Commissioner’s Office in order for the deal to push through.
If given the green light, the trade will be the first two weeks after commissioner Willie Marcial lifted the trade moratorium which began even before the start of the bubble.
NorthPort will acquire the services of Onwubere, who showed flashes of improvement during the bubble and the incoming sophomore Doliguez.
Onwubere averaged 5.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in 12 games with the Elasto Painters highlighted by a season-high 16 points against Alaska last Oct. 22.
Doliguez appeared in just six games in his rookie campaign and produced 4.2 points and 1.2 rebounds.
Guinto played nine times for NorthPort in the bubble with averages of 2.2 points and 1.8 rebounds.
