Another Barretto has joined Viva’s stellar roster of artists.
Following in the footsteps of older sister Julia in Viva Artist Agency (VAA) is Claudia Barretto.
The daughter of Marjorie Barretto and Dennis Padilla is set to re-ignite her singing career with the entertainment giant.
Note Claudia has made inroads in music several years back with another recording company, releasing several singles including the Moira Dela Torre-penned “Stay,” “You,” “Finally Found it,” and “Sinking.”
She also made heads turn appearing in the Thai movie “FriendZone” and as a featured singer on Ryan Tedder’s single “Better Days.”
And she did it all not knowing how to play a single instrument.
For now, the bubbly 21-year-old, a consistent honor student, wants to become a better musician.
“I think my primary strength as songwriter is being a storyteller. I love words. I just love writing and telling stories. I create lyrics that way, basically,” she related in an interview.
Asked how it feels to be part of Viva, Claudia replied simply, “Excited.”
Signing up with VAA is a no-brainer for Claudia, relating how the company “offers lots of possibilities.”
Indeed.
With Viva, not only could she maximize her potential as a musician, she could also spread her wings and try other artistic pursuits, including acting.
“Well, my primary aim is to make music but of course, if the opportunity comes and if I’m ready, I’m willing to try anything, even acting,” Claudia shared.
