GENERAL SANTOS CITY – A heartbroken father shot dead his two-year-old son before he shot himself following a misunderstanding with his wife.
Police investigators said Franklin Cifra, 43, shot himself with a handgun after he shot to death his son, Franklin Jr., inside their house in Barangay Labangal, this city on Thursday.
The father succumbed to a bullet wound in the head.
Police said Franklin felt devastated after his wife abandoned him over his womanizing activities.
He appealed to his wife for a reconciliation and return home but to no avail.
The suspect had earlier threatened his wife to harm their child if she refused to reconcile with him. (Joseph Jubelag)
