JUST A THOUGHT: “The only constant in life is change” – Heraclitus
KILIG SILA: Times have really changed.
The two lead actors and the supporting cast, most of them male also, chorused they’re all kilig (excited, thrilled) after watching a trailer of their new film, “Hello, Stranger.”
It’s a BL (boys’ love film), by the way.
The trailer shows the two leads, played by Tony Labrusca and JC Alcantara, engaging in what seems like a harmless little romance after meeting each other in a dormitory where they are to be roommates.
FILM VERSION: “Hello Stranger” is the film version of an earlier online series of the same title. Produced by Black Sheep, it has been picked by ABS-CBN Films as its Valentine offering, starting on Feb. 12.
It marks the first time a BL movie is given importance on the special occasion, traditionally celebrated with heterosexual love.
THIRD PARTY: The movie is set in a scenic resort, where a writing camp for Xavier (Labrusca) and Mico’s (Alcantara) literature class is being held.
Will the camp be their opportunity to deepen their relationship?
In the TV series’ happy ending, Xavier and Mico professed their love for each other.
A third party, however, surfaces in the movie, sparking fits of jealousy on both sides.
Directed by Dwein Baltazer, the film will be available for streaming on KTX.ph, iWantTFC, TFC IPTV, Cignal PPV, and Sky PPV.
