A lone robber took away some P1 million worth of cash and jewelry from a store owner on Recto Avenue in Sta. Cruz, Manila, Wednesday morning.
Lt. Col. Rollyfer Capoquian, Binondo Police Station commander, said Teodolo Cay, 73, jewelry store owner, was opening the shop at around 7 a.m. when an unidentified armed man approached and held him at gunpoint. The robber then took around P500,000 worth of jewelry and P500,000 cash.
A closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage showed that the suspect was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, light-colored pants, a black cap, and a face mask. Police said he is around 30 to 35 years old, 5’4″ tall, and has slim built.
The perpetrator sped away on a motorcycle toward Florentino Torres Street. (Minka Tiangco)
