A 5.1-magnitude earthquake jolted parts of southern Luzon on Friday morning.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the tectonic quake was plotted 24 kilometers northeast of Tinaga Island in Camarines Norte at 6 a.m.
Phivolcs initially measured the earthquake at 5.4 magnitude.
Intensity 4 was felt in Capalonga, Camarines Norte, Intensity 2 in Goa and Naga City, Camarines Sur; Calauag, Quezon Province; and Intensity 1 in Cainta, Rizal.
Instrumental Intensity 4 was recorded in Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte; Intensity 3 in Guinayangan, Quezon; Intensity 2 in Gumaca, Mauban and Lopez, Quezon; and Intensity 1 in Marikina City and Pasig City, Metro Manila; and San Rafael, Bulacan Phivolcs said aftershocks are to be expected following the quake.
