PBA legend Alvin Patrimonio has found many ways to keep himself occupied while maintaining a healthy lifestyle amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Patrimonio reminded the public that the global situation has become a strong reminder to take care of one’s well-being ‒ be it physical or emotional state and mental health.
Everyone has their own coping mechanism in these trying times, but Patrimonio, for his part, monitors his diet and performs exercises on a regular basis.
“Kailangan nating labanan in a positive way by taking care of your health (We need to fight it in a positive way by taking care of your health),” said the 54-year-old PBA great as he recalls the time when he underwent a hairline enhancement procedure back in July 2017.
At his age, Patrimonio, the current team manager of the Magnolia Hotshots in the PBA, has become more conscious of his physical appearance, especially when it comes to his hair.
Patrimonio, during a team huddle, recalled noticing his receding hairline from the top view when the Magnolia bench was flashed on the screen.
The four-time PBA champion said the lack of physical activities may have been one of the factors on why he suffers from hair loss.
That’s why in 2017, the former Purefoods forward had his first procedure with MAXiM, which gave him the much-needed confidence from then on.
With the current health crisis, this is just one of Patrimonio’s ways to spread positivity and raise awareness en route to a healthy lifestyle.
“Thankful ako kaya dapat alagaan din [‘yung sarili] and just keep on [spreading] the good news sa tao (I am just thankful, that is why we need to take care of ourselves and just keep on spreading the good news),” added Patrimonio, who is planning for a second procedure around his hair crown sometime this year.
