Presidential spokesman Harry Roque won P60,000 for his home partner from Leyte after putting his observation and intuition skills to the test in the popular noontime show Eat Bulaga’s “Bawal Judgmental” segment yesterday.
In a live episode of the country’s longest-running noontime show, Roque, who first sang his take on Eraserheads’ “Pare Ko” before playing the game, said he will rely on the intuition of his game partner Genevieve Sevilla from Alang-Alang Leyte because all the guests were men.
The pair had to guess the four correct answers among the seven guests. They had to look for four men who became the third party in a relationship for three years or more.
For the first round, Roque and Sevilla had to rely on their first impression of the guests and choose the four correct picks, or else P10,000 will be deducted from their pot money of P50,000 for each incorrect answer.
The pair’s prize money went down to P30,000 after the first round because they picked two wrong answers.
The Palace official and his partner were able to pick the following guests correctly:
- Greg, a teacher who got into an extramarital affair with his first love for seven years. They are no longer together but he said he still loved her.
- Ronnie, a massage therapist, who got into a relationship with his married client. Both of them broke up to remain with their spouses. Their relationship lasted for six years.
Roque and Sevilla failed to guess the other two correct picks:
- Baste got into a five-year relationship with a woman whose husband was having an affair with another woman. They broke up because the couple eventually fixed their relationship.
- Kurt, a dancer who got in a relationship with his “fan” for four years. He said he didn’t know his girlfriend was in a relationship and that her husband was in jail. The girl’s parents likewise kept that information from him. They broke up after they caught the couple together with his motorcycle.
ROUND TWO
The second round of the game gave Roque and Sevilla a chance to gamble with their P30,000. They can either keep, divide, or double their money.
This time, the pair had to choose one of the two of the guests, who had a child at the age of 19- to 20-years-old, to double their cash prize. They had to avoid picking one of the two guests who were theater or TV actors as these two will divide their money by half.
The rest of the guests were holding cards that will let them keep their money.
Roque insisted on choosing Romie, remembering that he was the only guest who disclosed information about being married before. In his interview with Eat Bulaga! hosts Jose Manalo and Paolo Ballesteros, Romie said that he and his ex-wife met when they were 17 and 14 years old, respectively. They soon had a child together.
Roque was not the first national government official to guest on Bawal Judgmental. In December last year, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles won P40,000 for the government’s anti-hunger program. In July last year, Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat went on the show and took home P30,000.
