Salmon is a preferred fish in the upscale market. With its surplus of fats, it is rich in Omega 3 oil and is considered among the healthiest foods to eat.
But, did you know how hard it is to catch salmon? They live in the ocean deep and are considered good, fast swimmers.
To reproduce, they go back to the calm waters where they were born. These “nurseries’’ can be up to 1,000 kilometers away. They negotiate such a long haul, courtesy of their strong, powerful muscles.
As soon as they reach the calm waters, they stop feeding, relying on their vast reserves of fats.
An average salmon grows to about one and a half meters long and weighs 50 kilograms.
