Thanks to a working dog named “Cali”, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has detected suspected shabu worth P340,000 inside a plastic package aboard a ferry at the Zamboanga City Port.
In a statement, the PCG said the confiscated shabu weighed 50 grams and was set to be smuggled through a passenger ferry.
The Coast Guard said the illegal items were inside a plastic package owned by a 39-year-old passenger residing in Barangay Guiwan, Zamboanga City.
It added that the confiscated illegal drugs and its owner were properly turned over to the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Zamboanga Police Station and subsequently brought to the Crime Laboratory for further investigation and proper disposition.
