The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) has started releasing cash cards to students eligible to receive cash aid under the Social Amelioration Program (SAP).
Under the City of Manila’s SAP, 7,266 PLM students who are bona fide Manila residents will receive monthly financial assistance through cash cards from the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP).
As of March 13, 2,906 students have received their LBP cash cards. The cards contain the allowances for January to March.
“We are happy to shift our SAP releases to cash cards for seamless experience in delivering help that’s urgently needed by our students. This is just one of many ways we adapt to the new normal,” PLM President Emmanuel Leyco said.
“We thank the City Government under the leadership of our beloved Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso for making this possible,” Leyco added.
PLM reminded that the cash cards will only be released to students and not to authorized representatives.
