All barangay captains in Manila have been directed to issue quarantine passes to their constituents as the National Capital Region (NCR) was placed under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) starting Monday (March 29) until Sunday (April 4).
According to a memorandum dated March 27, all barangay captains are directed to issue quarantine passes to their constituents.
“Issuance of quarantine pass shall be one (1) quarantine pass per family,” a memorandum issued on March 27 stated.
All the quarantine passes will be in odd and even format. Holders of passes with odd numbers (1,3,5,7,9) can go outside on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; while those with even numbers (2,4,6,8,0) may go out on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sundays from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
A uniform curfew from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. will also be imposed to further limit the movement of people during the ECQ.
On March 27, Malacañang announced the imposition of ECQ in NCR, Cavite, Laguna, Bulacan, and Rizal.
