Junna Tsukii vowed to be “stronger” after landing second in the annual rankings of the Karate1 Premier League.
Tsukii announced the development on her Facebook account, posting a screenshot of the Top 3 karatekas in the female kumite -50 kg with her total of 2,760.00.
“The annual ranking from 2020 to 2021 is the second in the world. This is not a satisfying result for me. I will do my best to be ‘more stronger’,” wrote Tsukii, who bagged two gold medals in the Karate1 Premier League in Cairo, Egypt and Lisbon, Portugal this year.
Serap Ozcelik Arapoglu of Turkey emerged No. 1 with 3,510.00 followed by Japanese Miho Miyahara with 2,310.00 points.
Arapoglu is also No. 1 in the world rankings followed by Miyahara while Tsukii currently sits at world No. 5
The Karate 1 Premier League, sanctioned by World Karate Federation, wrapped up its final installment in Moscow, Russia in early October while the Rabat, Morroco edition was cancelled per the tournament’s website.
