Hottie Angeli Khang is back and she is more daring than ever.
She is to star in the film “Silip Sa Apoy” as written by Ricky Lee and directed by McArthur C. Alejandre.
Angeli told us, “Ito na po yata ang pinaka-challenging role ko to date. Grabe ito. Nagkapasa-pasa ako!”
In the film, Angeli plays Emma, a young woman tired of living with her alcoholic husband, Ben as played by Sid Lucero.
Apparently, whenever he gets drunk, Ben becomes violent with Emma.
Luckliy, she will eventually find a knight in shining armor in their neighbor Alfred as portrayed by Paolo Gumabao.
Alfred has witnessed her abuse among others, peeping through a hole in the wall that separates their respective houses.
After several lustful meetings, Alfred will promise Emma the freedom she has been longing for.
What happens next? Will Ben find out?
Angeli is happy working with both Sid and Paolo.
She shared, “Sobrang alalay po sila sa akin dito. They never took advantage of me while doing our love scenes. Maingat po sila and pinoprotektahan nila ako and I really appreciate that.”
Sid took on the role hoping to highlight marital abuse.
“I think it’s high time people actually see how evil it is. I learned a lot doing this film and I certainly hope our audiences will learn a thing or two as well,” he said.
Paolo added, “Cases of abuse are usually taboo. It’s either the victim is too afraid to speak up or nahihiya sila and it’s a shame really. I really hope this film would open up discussions about it.”
