It’s been a year of joy and laughter for fans of the country’s first and only 24-hour comedy channel, BuKo.
Launched last year by Cignal TV and APT Entertainment Inc., BuKo did good bringing back comedy magic in the lives of Filipinos.
BuKo now enjoys the distinction of being the no.1 entertainment channel on video streaming service Cignal Play.
In just a year, BuKo delivered over 120 hours of more than 220 episodes of Original Programming, as well as over 50,000 hours of more than 1,000 episodes of Pinoy comedy classics.
With the theme “Tawa’t Tuwa Fiesta: The First BUKO Anibersaya,” BuKo’s anniversary celebration spotlights one year of feel-good entertainment with the announcement of upcoming new shows and back-to-back episodes of BuKo Originals.
To start off the anniversary fiesta, BuKo launches a three-hour long marathon from Aug. 1 to 5 from 3pm to 6pm starting off with the second season of “Kusina ni Mamang” and “#MaineGoals.”
It also includes replays of the John Lapus-helmed news parody show “Balita One Nan” with KaladKaren, Alex Calleja, and Wally Bayola on Aug. 3.
Making the month-long celebration more festive are five new shows and new time slots.
Starting Aug. 6, weekends will be merrier as the first episode of “Pinoy Samurai” premieres on the channel at 6pm, while “Bubble Gang” and “Pepito Manaloto” will air Sundays, 8pm.
Beginning Aug. 8, “Wow Meganon” will be airing at 6pm, followed by “Lokomoko U” at 7pm, Mondays to Fridays.
Aug. 13, 90s Filipino comedy “Mongolian Barbecue” will air at 7pm with sitcom “Everybody Hapi” following it at 9pm every Saturday.
BuKo channel is operated by Cignal TV Inc., in partnership with APT Entertainment Inc., and is available on Cignal TV (Channel 2) and SatLite (Channel 2), and on the Cignal Play app.
