Chloe Isleta made waves at the 20th ASEAN University Games by capturing her fifth medal in record fashion in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand.
The country’s lone PH gold medal winner in the SEA Games settled for a bronze in the women’s 50-meter freestyle but it turned to a personal best.
The 24-year-old Isleta clocked 26.31 seconds to better her previous best of 26.47sec she submitted during the qualifying heats.
She finished behind Nur Marina Abdullah Chan of Singapore (26.09) and Jenjira Srisa-ard of Thailand (26.12).
She earlier torpedoed her rivals to win the golds in the women’s 50m, 100, and 200m backstroke, and 200m individual medley.
Meanwhile, Martin Jacob Pupos, finished seventh in the men’s 50m butterfly and 100m freestyle.
