In line with its 10th anniversary this year, Alagang Kapatid Foundation Inc. (AKFI), the corporate social responsibility arm of TV5, welcomes this Christmas with a heartwarming celebration like no other.
It will feature 10 inspiring and life-changing stories from its beneficiary communities to help spread the message of hope among Filipinos who work together for a brighter future.
Bannering the tagline “Kaisa ka, hanggang kaya nang mag-isa,” the Foundation’s mantra highlights its efforts to provide livelihood for disadvantaged and disaster-stricken communities, giving them the strength, motivation, and inspiration to rise above their
problems and work for a better future for their families.
Sharing with Kapatid viewers how the Foundation has shone as a beacon of hope for disadvantaged and disaster-stricken communities in the past 10 years, AKFI continues to champion its pillars of development for social services, disaster response, recovery and rehabilitation.
“For our 10th Anniversary celebration, we will present 10 stories that will not only give light and hope but also share a glimpse of what we do and what we have been doing in Alagang Kapatid Foundation through the years. With the tireless support of the MVP
Group of Companies and our partner sponsors, our promise to never get tired of helping our Kapatids will always remain,” shared Alagang Kapatid Foundation Executive Director Menchie Silvestre.
For the past 10 years, Alagang Kapatid Foundation has tirelessly mounted outreach projects that benefit underprivileged Filipinos across the country. Some of these projects include the EcoNanay Bags initiative that provided mothers with a business opportunity
in upcycling clothes into eco bags, Blood Donation drives that saved thousands of lives, the MVP Tulong Kapatid Homes for Typhoon Pablo survivors, the AKFeed program that served over a hundred thousand meals nationwide, and the Happy Eskwela program that
helped students and teachers across the country.
These are only a few of AKFI’s numerous initiatives benefiting Filipino communities even in the remotest areas of the
country.
“Through the years, TV5 and Alagang Kapatid Foundation have worked hand-in-hand to help and support our Kapatids in need. We are happy to be part of Alagang Kapatid’s 10th year milestone and we look forward to sharing the Foundation’s inspiring stories that
perfectly reflect the true spirit of Christmas,” said Cignal TV and TV5 President and CEO Robert P. Galang.
