Insular Life (InLife) received three Excellence Awards and one Award of Merit at the recent Philippine Quill Awards.
The contest is presented by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), and is considered as the most prestigious awards program in the field of business communication.
“We are honored that our projects have been recognized by the IABC, yet again . Receiving these awards inspires us to keep doing what we do, and that is to help Filipinos achieve their goals and enjoy the good in life, and communicating our messages well,” said InLife Executive Chairperson Nina D. Aguas.
InLife won Excellence Awards under the Communication Skills category for “The Power of Purpose”, its 2020 annual report micro site, and “Connectin’ Life”, its 110th anniversary magazine.
“The Power of Purpose” is an interactive micro site that published the Company’s 2020 consolidated corporate annual report. It speaks about how its sense of purpose and stewardship became the foundation by which the Company responded to the health, humanitarian and economic crisis brought by the Covid-19 pandemic for all its stakeholders and the severely affected sectors of society. It featured engaging videos, audio elements, animation, and interaction that offered its readers a dynamic reading experience and made it easier for them to understand corporate data.
Published online, the “Connectin’ Life” magazine featured stories of resiliency, dedication, and hope to inspire InLife employees, financial advisors, and policyholders during the height of the pandemic. InLife executives and employees, medical front-liners, financial advisors, policyholders, and an Insular Foundation scholar shared their experiences and dedication to their families, profession, and serving the Filipino people during trying times.
InLife also received an Excellence Award under the Communication Management category for the “InLife Sheroes Digital Bazaar: Bida ang Pinay.” The year-long bazaar provided small and medium enterprises (SME) with the opportunity to promote their brands through a digital platform. Most of these businesses are owned, led, or employ women and offer products and services that cater to women.
“Steps for a Cause”, a corporate social responsibility project of the Insular Foundation and InLife’s Human Resources Department, meanwhile, earned a Merit Award under the same category.
Insular Foundation Executive Director Ana Maria R. Soriano shared that the Company has donated P611,000 to various health institutions and charitable organizations from the funds raised through “Steps for a Cause.”
“The CSR campaign served as a means for InLife employees to give back to the community and, at the same time, pay attention to their own health and wellness as they work from home,” Soriano said.
