Rock music aficionados and fashionistas got together under one roof recently to celebrate 20 years of premier clothing and footwear brand, Macbeth.
They all trooped to the Metrotent Convention Center in Pasig City over the weekend to catch some of the country’s hottest rock acts including Chelsea Alley, Urbandub, Rico Blanco, Mayonnaise, Chocolate Factory, Sandwich, Hilera, Even, Snakefight, Sucketseven, Fragments, Chndtr, Fastpitch, Soapdish, Written By The Stars, Divina, Lilith, Shotgun Combo, Imbue No Kudos, Rouge, and the Macbeth All-Stars super band.
Of course, all of the above were happy to participate in the mammoth event.
Some mentioned being overwhelmed seeing the amount of people who made it to the event.
Others were quite thrilled to just jam onstage after being held back by the pandemic for years.
Putting up the gig is a no-brainer, really.
From day one, rock music has been synonymous with fashion.
Think Elvis Presley and his blue suede shoes.
David Bowie and his Spider from Mars.
Johnny Rotten and his safety pins.
And there’s one of Macbeth’s founders himself, Tom DeLonge of Blink 182.
Obviously, music and fashion fit like hand in glove.
And this is what Macbeth served fans that night, as they also launched several of their newest collections, including their underwear line.
This early, many fans are already hoping to see more of the same in the coming months.
Macbeth, on its part, promised to continue supporting local music, hinting on the possibility of more fantastic affairs to come.
We can’t wait.
