Creamline goes for a share of the lead when it faces Cignal Saturday, Oct. 22, in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforcer Conference at the Sta. Rosa Multipurpose Complex in Laguna.
The Cool Smashers will try to pick up their third straight win and deal the HD Spikers their second defeat in three games in the 5:30 p.m. encounter.
After a convincing victory against the 2019 PVL Reinforced Conference champion Petro Gazz Angels last Oct. 18, 25-19, 16-25, 25-18, 27-25, Creamline is again expected to draw big numbers from Yeliz Basa, Alyssa Valdez and Jema Galanza.
Tots Carlos, the Open Conference and Invitational’s MVP, hopes to get back into the flow of things after dealing with back issues, making a limited stint in their tough four-set win over the Angels last Tuesday.
Basa was extra hot the last time, firing 28 points while Valdez held down the fort with an all around effort of 14 points, 22 excellent digs and 15 excellent receptions.
The HD Spikers are also smarting from a 23-25, 25-20, 21-25, 20-25 defeat to Chery Tiggo Crossovers last Oct. 15.
Petro Gazz and Akari, on the other hand, square off at 2:30 p.m. with both teams eager to bounce back from previous defeats the last time.
Lindsey Vander Weide is tipped to preside Petro Gazz’s charge, along with locals Myla Pablo and Jonah Sabete
Matches are telecast every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday on One Sports, One Sports+, Cignal Play and Smart Gigaplay with hashtag #TheHeartofVolleyball.
