Paeng Nepomuceno is truly a class of his own.
Showing he is still sharp and deadly at 65, Nepomuceno humbled the field to rule the 65+ division in the 16th Asian Seniors Championships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday, Nov. 10.
The six-time world champion tallied 1264 pinfalls to defeat Akira Nakada of Japan by 26 (1238) and Korean Jin Headong (1223) in the 65-above singles event.
The proud owner of three world records, Nepomuceno competed against 59 other veterans.
Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman Noli Eala took pride in the bowling legend’s win on his Twitter page.
“Bowling Hall of Famer and legend Paeng Nepomuceno of the PH won GOLD in the singles of the Asian Seniors age 65+ category. Paeng averaged 210 in 6 games to stamp his class once more. Congrats Paeng! You continue to make us proud. Mabuhay! 🇵🇭,” the tweet wrote.
