Herlene Budol is no longer among candidates of the Miss Planet International pageant ongoing in Uganda.
Apparently, her handlers, as led by Wilbert Tolentino, decided to finally pull her out from the pageant following several unexplained debacles.
Wilbert updated fans on the decision via Facebook, recently.
He wrote: “Due to uncertainties by the organizers, I have decided to withdraw Herlene Hipon Budol from the competition despite numerous attempt to fix some pageants debacles. It seems like the Ugandan Government has no initiative to intervene.”
Wilbert also apologized to supporters.
He added, “For me as, MPP National Director, I an very hurt, Not only we lost a crown, lost of money, lost of effort; but lost of time. But we will never lose hope, because we have bright future back home awaits. This is indeed a traumatic experience for all of us, but we fought for it until the end. And that is our mission.”
Herlene herself is still silent on the matter.
Note that prior, several contestants aired complaints on the pageant.
Among them Tamila Sparrow, the candidate from Czech Republic.
In a post, she deemed the pageant a scam.
“I have to apologize, but unfortunately, we were robbed. We haven’t had even 10% of activity, nothing was paid, nor our accommodations, nor our food. We’re stuck in Uganda,” wrote Sparrow. “We have been trying to solve it; even those who are not involved in the pageant paid with their own money to keep us fed and safe. I couldn’t be silent anymore. I apologize for everybody who put a lot of effort in us, monetary or mentally wise. But this has to be seen by the public.”
Tonille Watkis, the contestant from Jamaica, claimed it was cancelled.
She posted: “Thank you for all your support up until this moment. Unfortunately, the competition has been canceled. But, it was such an honor to have the chance to represent my beautiful Jamaica again.”
