BAGUIO CITY ˗ Camp John Hay Hotel asserted its might, tallying 106 points for a 4-shot lead over Hotel Bahia at the start of the Fil-A division in the 72nd Fil-Am Men’s Invitational Saturday, Nov. 26, at the Camp John Hay Golf Club.
Ramon Luis Garcia top-scored for CJH Hotel with 29 points and got 27 from Federico Mandapat and 25 each from Shean Bedi and Ronald Samaniego.
Hotel Bahia was led by 27 of Dasen Chen, 26 of Rudy Amata, 25 of Raoul Jorge and 24 of Jose Antonio Olives.
A distant third with 93 points was Robros-JV Golf Team 1 with Teddy Quizon exploding for 31 points while teammates Enrico del Rosario and Emiliano Mendoza settling for 24 and 22 points, respectively. Antonio Mecado managed only a 17.
Moto carded 92 to sit at fourth spot, followed by Team Okinawa (85), Team Na Koa 1 (84), D’Young Ones (83) and Macquarie Links Sydney Team 1 (79).
In the Am-C division, Mar Bustos produced a 23 to spearhead the attack of Baguio Country Club Team 2, which finished with 73 at the Baguio Country Club. Other scorers were Edgar Dinge (19), Anthony Co (16) and Rafael Ding (15).
Chemsol-Flowtork pooled a 70 for second place while Davao Eaglemasters II and Solid North Transit were tied for third to fourth places by assembling similar 65.
