With 2023 being the crucial year for the Philippines’ hopes of qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics, Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas is increasing its stable of players to deepen the talent pool.
And in order to find the best talents possible, Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas will be holding an open tryout on Tuesday, Dec. 13 at Activate Hope Arena in Pioneer Street, Mandaluyong.
“The real count for qualification for both the Paris Olympics and the Olympic Qualifying Tournament began last November 1, 2022 and will end on November 1, 2023. With this and being the global partner of FIBA 3×3, we will be ramping up our efforts for the 2023 season. And it will begin with our national tryouts,” said Chooks-to-Go president Ronald Mascariñas, the godfather of Philippine 3×3.
The tryouts will be open for all Filipinos holding a Philippine passport. They must reserve their tryout slot by messaging their name, age, and height to 0966-473-6059.
Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas will not have a limit on their possible signings from the tryouts.
“We need a huge pool for the 2023 FIBA 3×3 season,” said head trainer Chico Lanete.
“For the players, this is their chance to represent the country, travel the world, and also earn from basketball,” he added.
Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 will surely leave no stone unturned in finding the best players for flag and country.
The players chosen will be part of the pool that will compose the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 teams that will compete in the 2023 FIBA 3×3 season.
