In it, she divulges little known facts about her family.
Specifically, from within their kitchen.

More, Sen. Imee shares a detailed, step-by-step procedure for recreating some of their family’s favorite dishes.
Among these are Filipino favorites like Dinengdeng and Ginataang Kinilaw, which are from her parents’, President Ferdinand Marcos and First Lady Imelda Marcos, respective hometowns – Ilocos Norte and Leyte.
It also includes recipes that Sen. Imee learned from her travels.
“PinakBest” include stories about how each dish featured forms part of a happy family memory.
With a foreword and additional cooking tips from the Marcoses’ long-time friend and fellow Ilocano, Chef Reggie Aspiras, “PinakBest” is more than just a book of recipes, it is a memoir.
