It didn’t take long for Justine Baltazar to find a new home in Seoul Samsung Thunders.
The 25-year-old former La Salle star will now be taking his act to the Korean Basketball League for the 2022-2023 season, according to multiple reports.
After an uneventful stint in the Japan B.League that saw him play sparinghly in eight games, Baltazar was quick on his feet to get back to the scene.
Just five days before Christmas, the 6-foot-9 power forward was released by the Hiroshima Dragonflies.
With a stockpile of disappointing games, the Thunders are currently holding a 10-18 record at the back of the 10-team grid.
Baltazar was actually the third Filipino-blooded player that was tapped by the Seoul Samsung as an important since the previous two reinforcements fell through.
The part was initially offered to Will Navarro who was then dissuaded from flying to Korea due to a dispute with the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.
Baltazar will be making a pit stop at the Jan. 27 to Feb. 5 slated Dubai Invitational Tournament where former NBA star Nick Young will also be suiting up for the Strong Group Philippines.
However, Baltazar is racing against time to make it to the last call for an import in the KBL.
