Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay are out to prove their drawing power anew, this time headlining GMA and Wattpad Webtoon Studios “Luv is Caught in his Arms.”
They could only be grateful to GMA for the trust.
Sofia says, “Isang malaking karangalan po sa amin ni Allen na mabigyan ng ganito kalaking proyekto. Malaki ang pasalamat naming sa binigay na tiwala sa amin ng GMA kaya nga we are doing our best din to prove ourselves worthy.”
Allen admitted he was hesitant at first, fearing the idea of him failing to live up to expectations.
“Dito kasi sa show, anak mayaman ako at malayong-malayo siya sa tunay na Allen so, sabi k okay Sofia, ‘Hala! Paano ‘to?’ Buti na lang very supportive sa akin si Sofia lalo na kailangan ko mag-aral ng English kasi inglesero ako dito.”
The show has Sofia playing the role of a simple girl thrust into the world of rich, privileged kids, among them Allen’s character.
She related, “isang simple at masayahing bata po ang role ko dito. Ako yung mahilig magluto, mag Tiktok. Tapos magugulo ang mundo once na ma-meet ko na ang Ferell boys. Doon ako matututo maging matatag, matapang at may paninindigan. I think, hindi lang po basta kilig ang hatid ng show sa mga manonood, inspiring po siya.”
GMA’s Assistant Vice President for Drama Helen Rose Sese guarantees that the audience will love the young and fresh stars of the series, “Based sa material, kitang-kita na may mga ibubuga sila and we’re proud of them. Salamat sa support at tulong ni Direk Barry Gonzalez dahil naging magaling sila sa acting. Makikita ng viewers sa palabas kung gaano sila ka-deserving sa project na ito.”
On the other hand, Wattpad WEBTOON Studios Development Executive and Creator Manager for International Operations and Strategy Ryan Benitez highlights their journey with the Kapuso Network. “We have been working with GMA to find the perfect story to launch this partnership and Caught In His Arms was one of our most-well loved stories. We are so glad that we have partnered with GMA because they understand our vision.”
The show’s director, Barry Gonzalez, details how the cast developed chemistry and camaraderie throughout their lock-in taping, “Sobrang nagulat ako kasi overwhelming ‘yung galing ng mga batang ito. Magaling ang Sparkle kasi tama ang pagpili sa kanila, lahat sila nag-excel nang sobra. Mahirap siya nung una pero nung tumagal, nagtutulungan na sila kaya sobrang saya at fulfilling.”
Playing support to Allen and Sofia in the show are Sparkada talents Michael Sager, Vince Maristela, Raheel Bhyria, Sean Lucas, Caitlyn Stave, Cheska Fausto, Tanya Ramos, and Kirsten Gonzales.
“Luv Is Caught In His Arms” is now airing as part of GMA’s Telebabad block.
